We are looking for a Health Informatic Manager to support and advance the company’s electronic healthcare systems to ensure the secure capture, maintenance and interpretation of health data.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills in English, both oral and written.
  • Solid Experience in medical IT, health informatics, data analysis and reporting.
  • Familiarity with health information systems and databases.
  • Degree in Nursing or other relevant field at Bachelors or Master’s level preferred.
  • Proficiency in medical coding, medical terminology and medical data protection regulations an advantage.
  • Office-based role with some travel to vessels.
  • Highly proficient in all Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Teams, Power BI and other data analysis platforms.
  • Must be a team player with excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Be responsible for the management of electronic health records (EHR) and health data analytics systems.
  • Optimize, customize and drive development of healthcare platforms for improved functionality, utility and efficiency.
  • Become proficient and a subject matter expert of the SeaCare EHR system.
  • Investigate deficiencies in SeaCare and liaise with the provider to find solutions and implement corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with IT, the EHR provider, and other relevant stakeholders to facilitate integration and maintenance of equipment and health information systems (e.g. EHR, other clinical databases, and data warehouses).
  • Ensure data security, privacy, and compliance with regulations (e.g. GDPR, HIPPA).
  • Provide dynamic support and training (including training materials) to shipboard or office-based staff in your area of competency when necessary.
  • Collect, organize, and maintain healthcare data from multiple sources.
  • Clean and validate data to ensure accuracy and consistency.
  • Analyse data using statistical tools and software to identify trends, patterns, and insights.
  • Generate comprehensive reports to present relevant datasets to company leadership and outside agencies as required.
  • Develop and maintain clinical decision support tools (e.g., dashboards, alerts, reminders) to assist healthcare providers in making informed decisions.
  • Observe, evaluate and report on medical department business trends to help inform business decisions.
  • Facilitate the implementation of best clinical practice guidelines and EHR integration.
  • Maintain and review system processes to monitor incidents (e.g. medical errors, near misses and adverse events).
  • Work closely with Clinical Governance and other relevant stakeholders to analyse and report on patient safety issues, patient satisfaction, and quality of care measures.
