Responsibilities:
If you are passionate about delivering excellent customer service this is the role for you! An exciting opportunity exists for a highly motivated Health Information Services Officer to join our Health Information Service team.
As a Health Information Services Officer your responsibilities will include:
- Dealing with enquiries and requests (telephone, email and paper file)
- Liaising with doctors, patients, community members, solicitors on a daily basis
- Electronic delivery of health information records to internal and external clients in a legal, accurate and timely manner, from receipt of request to completion
- Maintaining departmental processes including completion of medicolegal worksheets, spreadsheets, folders and files
- Working well as part of a team, and able to ask for assistance if required and follow instructions
- Participating in performance improvement activities
- Assist the department where required in other areas, such as administrative or scanning duties.
Essential Criteria:
- Great telephone manner and experience dealing with multiple enquiries
- Demonstrated experience working in a busy administrative environment, health or medical industry a bonus
- Demonstrated computer literacy and keyboard skills, including knowledge electronic patient administration systems, email systems and Microsoft Office
- Demonstrated high standard of organisational skills, including ability to prioritise and achieve deadlines
- Strong attention to detail
- Demonstrated skills in health information management systems (desirable)

If you are successful in the role, you will receive a salary based on your years of relevant experience against the current Healthscope and NSW Health Professionals and Support Services Agreement, a salary ranging from $33.74 - $34.86 per hour.
