What You Will Do:
Guidehouse is seeking a motivated and experienced Evaluation Methods Expert to provide deep evaluation expertise to the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS).
The ideal candidate will have 12+ years of experience in evaluations of value-based care models and providing both qualitative and quantitative analysis of complex payment models. You support proposal efforts and would be expected to contribute to the growth of our existing CMS and program evaluation portfolio. You will lead, coach, and mentor others on the team to ensure high-quality deliverables and customer satisfaction. We are looking for someone with a passion for client service.
Specific Responsibilities:
- Direct and manage large evaluation contracts including technical direction and/or methodology, policy analysis, financial management, staff management, team partner engagement and client relations
- Lead evaluations of value-based care models that require mixed quantitative and qualitative evaluation methods
- Develop quantitative and qualitative research studies, evaluations, and analyses
- Work with complex large-scale data sets from multiple systems of origin including Medicare, Medicaid, and CHIP enrollment and claims
- Design interview protocols and content and lead stakeholder interviews
- Effectively oversee design, development, and production of high-quality deliverables
- Lead development of research reports and deliverables for technical and non-technical audiences
- Supervise research staff. Ensure scientific excellence associated with best practice-based evaluation methodologies, as well as operational efficiency
- Provide expertise on Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Innovation (CMMI) models research
- Strong written and oral communication skills and demonstrated experience with stakeholder engagement
- Engage in business development efforts to drive growth
What You Will Need:
- Must have a Medical Degree, Masters, or Doctoral degree in health economics, biostatistics, epidemiology, public policy, health policy, public health, or related fields
- 10+ years of experience in evaluation research, policy analysis, including design and advanced statistical analyses to support program evaluations
- Demonstrated experience managing and analyzing complex datasets
- Expertise across Medicare and Medicaid policy including ongoing value-based care initiatives; experience with private value-based care models welcome
- Experience delivering high-quality evaluations and providing exceptional value to stakeholders/clients
- Excellent leadership, supervisory, and interpersonal skills to lead large inter-disciplinary, project teams (full time resources)
- Advanced knowledge of statistics; advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint desired; proficiency in statistical analysis packages (e.g., STATA, SPSS, R, Python)
- Experience leading teams in Federal proposal pursuits, including leading processes or partnering with other organizations
What Would Be Nice To Have:
- Existing strong relationships with CMS and other HHS leaders
- SAS Certification or similar, relevant training
- Program evaluation certificate or similar, relevant training
- Track record of conference presentations and publications, especially related to value-based care models
The annual salary range for this position is $144,400.00-$216,600.00. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
