Job Description
As Health, Safety and Compliance Manager you will ensure that safety regulations, environmental regulations and quality control is followed throughout site.
It would be beneficial to be IOSH/NEBOSH qualified for this role.

  • Be analytical, proactive and tenacious ensuring standards are underpinned and met
  • IOSH/NEBOSH qualified (Desirable)

Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring health and safety, environmental and quality standards are met-on all sites under General Manager control.
  • Investigation of incidents, accidents, high profile near miss, near miss. Using best practice to reduce or prevent further re-occurrence. Providing factual detailed reports identifying root causes and recommendations for improvements.
  • Responsible for ensuring effective close out of corrective actions.
  • Completion of internal audits (full adherence with group and site schedules)
  • Maintain adherence with controlled documents ensuring documents are reviewed in a company standards compliance & timely manner, with accuracy and legibility being key. Documents include; Risk assessments, SSOW’s, SOP’s, COSHH assessments.
  • Developing safety policies and procedures, along with safety workshops promoting safety and best practice to reduce accidents/incidents maintaining a safe environment.
  • Keeping compliant records in accordance with internal procedures and regulatory authorities.
  • Compiling statistics for reports and presentations for the monthly H&S meetings. Offering creation and innovation to lead and guide the site management team on all matters (SHEQ)
  • Monitor/Maintain hygienist records for the site ensuring the appropriate sign offs are completed by internal stake holders. And monitoring environmental impacts.
  • Responsible for contractor control on site. This includes but not limited to the following, booking contractors onto site, reviewing all RAMS, insurance documents, training records prior to arriving on site, issuing of work permits, contractor monitoring, contractor close out on EOA
  • Ensuring the site is compliant with Quality Management Standards and Client Specific Requirements
  • Unilever liaison point for Safety matters.
