ABOUT YOU
The successful candidate will possess the following:
- Tertiary Qualifications in Health, Safety and Environment (Degree/Diploma)
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a safety role preferably within a Logistics/Intermodal Park environment, or other high risk work environments
- Trained in Incident Cause Analysis Method (ICAM)
- Audit, risk assessment and incident investigation experience
- Experience in workplace communication and consultation, including participation in HSE Committees
- Knowledge of Rail Safety Act and of Dangerous Goods Acts & Regs (desirable)
- Proven ability to lead and motivate others, obtain cooperation and/or support of senior management, peers, employees & contractors
- Knowledge of relevant jurisdictional WHSE Acts and Regulations, Dangerous goods regulations
Knowledge of RTW processes (desirable)Ability to identify, analyse and solve problems

Responsibilities:
We are looking for an experienced HSE Business Partner to join the team at our Container Park Operations based in Fisherman Island.
Reporting to the National HSE Manager, you will be responsible for supporting our Brisbane Container Park by co-ordinating day-to-day HSE systems activities, HSE initiatives, reporting processes, consultation arrangements and the implementation of the site risk management program.
The main responsibilities of this role include:
- Ensure Brisbane Container Park is in full compliance with HSE statutory requirements
- Collaborate with management and employees in the development, planning, implementation and review of HSE programs
- Implement both Group & National HSE systems and measurements on site, in line with corporate guidelines and ISO 14000 and ISO 45000 certification requirements
- Develop & review HSE documentation for currency, ensuring all statutory requirements are met
- Assist in facilitation of regular team meetings, tool boxes, STOP for safety etc. to ensure staff are across all HSE updates
- Conduct standard ICAM investigations and ensure all incidents, near misses and hazards are reported and acted on.
- Plan and implement the site’s HSE risk management program including risk assessments, , safe work procedures, audits, inspections and interactions
- Training, mentoring and liaison as appropriate with other departments including HSE committee and management review meetings
