Description:
ABOUT YOU:
- Experience in HSE management, with a deep understanding of H&S law and regulations
- DGSA (Dangerous Goods Safety Adviser) qualification is needed, but candidates without it may be considered if willing to complete a week-long course
- In-depth knowledge of the unique challenges faced in a heavy, mature manufacturing environment
- Effective communication and leadership skills, with the ability to drive change through effective engagement
- A record of evidence-led projects that have resulted in significant improvements in safety and environmental practices
- A high level of positive energy and enthusiasm for the role
- Nebosh Certificate or equivalent
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:
In this role you will be required to engage in regular travel to our sites located Enstone, Sherburn and Cullompton and also Premier Nutrition (Rugeley).

Do you have a strong background in Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) management and a deep understanding of H&S law? AB Agri is looking for a dynamic leader who can drive change in a heavy, mature manufacturing environment to be our Health, Safety, and Support Manager
As the HSE Manager you will play a vital role in creating a culture of safety, health, and environmental responsibility within our organisation.
RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:
- Developing and implementing evidence based HSE policies and procedures, ensuring strict compliance with H&S law
- Conducting comprehensive risk assessments that all operations adhere to the latest regulatory requirements
- Leading safety training programs and initiatives, and driving employee engagement in safety practices
- Promoting environmental sustainability through efficient resource management and waste reduction strategies
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate HSE into our mature manufacturing processes, driving continuous improvement
- Chair and conduct HSE meetings
- Investigating incidents, identifying root causes, and implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence
- Monitoring and reporting on HSE performance to senior management, using data-driven insights to effect change
