Description:
PERMANENT, FULL TIME
We are excited to be looking for a Health & Safey Coordinator to join the safety team at Emirates Old Trafford, home of Lancashire Cricket. You will be responsible for focussing on health and safety administration at EOT and other venues that may be used during the season. This role will form part of the Safety Team, supporting the Safety department providing operational and administrative support to ensure the day to day running of LCCC Stewarding, matchday and safety requirements with day-to-day management of all health and safety aspects at the Club.

Emirates Old Trafford, home of Lancashire Cricket, is an award-winning world-class stadium and venue. The venue has played host to some of the world’s biggest sporting events, including six ICC Cricket World Cup fixtures in 2019, Ashes Test Matches and world class concerts. ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
- Operational background within a large venue / sports arena / entertainment arena or shopping centre (an organisation with a large footfall).
- IOSH qualified or a willingness to be within the first 6 months.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, and have the confidence and ability to present to groups from all disciplines and levels.
- The ability to communicate across all levels of the organisation.
- Self-motivation with excellent analytical, organisational, report writing and problem-solving skills.
- Good IT skills (Experience in using Microsoft packages, especially Excel, Outlook and Word).
- Ability to create clear procedures and guidance documents.
- High level of work accuracy.
- Ability to complete tasks against tight deadlines.
- Presentation skills.
- NEBOSH General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety or similar - Desirable

Responsibilities:
- Assist and support the Head of Safety as required for them to deliver their role.
- Assist with the implementation of Health and Safety policies and arrangements site wide.
- Support the delivery of monthly Health and Safety committee meetings.
- Work with the conference and event teams to ensure that corporate events are delivered safely, and contractors are monitored throughout.
- Work with all Managers to deliver the Clubs requirements.
- Coordination and review of site risk assessments.
- Complete near miss and accidents reports if required, as well as reporting incidents to the HSE.
- Coordinate accident or incident investigation where required.
- Carry out regular workplace Health and Safety Audits across all departments including match day related inspections.
- Ensure that COSHH assessments are up to date and complete within certain departments.
- Provide performance reports to Head of Department and assist with report preparations for the Operations Director and Executive Team.
- Coordinate all first aid resources on site (first aid boxes and defibrillators), ensuring these are audited and replenished where necessary.
- Identify staff health and safety training requirements through a training matrix and coordinate the delivery of training.
- Assist in managing the Food Safety Management System in use at the club.
- Support the maintenance of all necessary records and documentation related to the safe operation of events at the venue and report to the ECB, SGSA or local authority as appropriate.
- Analyse near misses & incidents, providing data to the Head of Safety as required.
- Provide administrative support on all capex decisions and delivery of projects
- Assist with booking of agency staff
- Look at postmatch incidents, including completion of sanctions forms, collation of incident reports and CCTV.
- When required be present on matchdays to be the focal point for matchday casual staff booking on and off duty and ensuring accurate collation of staff numbers, plus auditing of staff in terms of appearance and compliance with Club standards
