WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
This role requires a team player who has had some H&S Advisory experience in a manufacturing environment and is looking for the next challenge. You’ll have a working understanding of the HASW Act 2015 and you’ll be able to demonstrate your ability to communicate and get people on board with Health & Safety.
A key to your success, will be delivery of results within a dynamic work environment in an organisation that embraces diversity and employs a wide variety of professions and worker skills.
A demonstrated ability to manage change and embrace continuous improvement and strong communication skills are a must. You have skills to build and maintain effective working relationships at all levels is coupled with your energetic and a can-do attitude. Sound computer skills are essential as Sealord continues to adopt technological innovation in the safety field.

Sealord has an exciting opportunity for a Health & Safety Advisor, with established experience in the field, to join the team who are committed to driving a Health & Safety culture across the organisation.

Reporting to the Group Health & Safety Manager, you will be responsible for:
- Assisting in the implementation and monitoring of the Sealord Stay Safe programme and Maritime Operator Safety System.
- Ensuring that safety programmes operate effectively to manage risk, reduce injuries and promote employee participation and engagement with Health and Safety
- Providing expertise, guidance and direction to seagoing and shore-based Operations around Health & Safety legislation and best practice
- Leading the continued improvement of the ACC Accredited Employers Programme within Sealord
- Risk identification, with a focus on critical risk
- Continuous improvement of management systems and risk assurance programmes
- Facilitating induction and training in Health & Safety for employees and contractors
