Description:

HEALTH, SAFETY AND ENVIRONMENT OFFICER (HSE OFFICER)

Lir Chocolates, Navan County Meath
Monday - Friday 37.5 hours per week
Are you passionate about Health, Safety, and Environmental processes, and ready to make a significant impact? We’re looking for a dynamic HSE Officer to join our Operations team and drive a strong safety culture across our site.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead HSE initiatives within the Senior Leadership Team (SLT), setting future safety objectives and strategies.
  • Foster a positive and respectful safety culture across all levels of the organisation.
  • Ensure compliance with HSE regulations, policies, and legal obligations.
  • Develop and maintain risk assessments, safety plans, and emergency response procedures.
  • Lead incident investigations, implementing corrective and preventive actions.
  • Collaborate with various departments to embed HSE practices in all aspects of site operations.
  • Oversee environmental management and identify opportunities for energy and carbon reduction.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Substantial HSE management experience in a food manufacturing environment.
  • Leadership: Ability to lead change, influence, and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Skills: Strong communication, analytical, and organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Qualifications: BSc in Health & Safety, CMIOSH (or working towards), HACCP Level 3, and knowledge of ISO standards (14001, 45001, 50001). (Or working towards/ a desire to complete the above qualifications).
