Description:
APC is a rapidly growing EPC company that has been serving the power generation industry for over 45 years with the provision of complete engineering services for the installation, commissioning and maintenance of thermal power plants in Ireland, UK and worldwide.
APC has secured a number of new bespoke Projects across the UK and are now looking for a number of experienced and trainee professionals.
One of these exciting roles is for an HSE Manager to join our ever-growing team. The role is based in the Southeast of England, with some possible travel to project sites when required, and is to start late 2024.

IOSH / NEBOSH / relevant Health Safety Qualifications.
Degree or above in the relevant field.
Equivalent of 15 + years relevant industry experience
Responsibilities:
The HSE Manager is responsible for managing all matters relating to Health, Safety and Environmental on an APC Project. The HSE Manager must have the ability to lead a team of HSE Advisors in order to ensure the health, safety and welfare of all APC employees and subcontractors by effective risk mitigation, communication and active management of company policy and procedures.
Adhere to APC’s Safety/Environmental and Quality Management system.
Lead and manage the Project from a HSE perspective.
Ensure clear objectives and standards are set, implemented, and monitored throughout the project.
Consider innovation in respect to health and safety.
Liaise with the client during the project planning and execution phases.
Fulfil the duties and responsibilities of the PSCS / CDM as applicable.
Report to the APC Senior HSE Corporate Manager in relation to project HSE matters.
Ensure the effective cost control of all expenses and resources.
Produce a weekly report for the project site.
Development of risk assessments and method statements as required with the project team.
Keep the project team abreast of all relevant health & safety legislative information and changes.
Delivery and preparation of communication documentation regarding health & safety and the environment.
Maintain all HSE site records as required.
- Maintain and implement Health, Safety, Quality & Environmental Systems meeting the needs of ISO 45001, ISO 9001, and ISO 14001 and any subsequent or related standards.
