Responsibilities:
- Be a key contact point and resource for health and safety related issues;
- Develop and maintain effective working relationships to provide technical expertise and guidance with internal stakeholders to ensure business needs are well understood and satisfied from the health and safety perspective;
- Implement Health and Safety management systems and practices, considering quality, cost, safety, production and overall business needs;
- Support the Health and Safety management system software solution by working with others to implement, provide training and manage the administration of the system(s);
- Support and engage in programs that develop organizational capabilities to identify, monitor and control hazards in the workplace;
- Responsible for the evaluation of training programs and trainers to ensure consistent quality and delivery;
- Responsible for coordinating and prioritizing training needs and requests;
- Participate in the preparation of the Health and Safety team and site health and safety performance monitoring and reporting requirements;
- Identify and analyze workplace hazards that can cause sickness, impaired health, or significant discomfort in workers; gather information and submit reports, interface with relevant departments
