- Engage with customer to understand their H&S expectations and requirements, ensuring these are integrated into project plans and execution.
- Maintain positive and collaborative relationships with customers, regularly communicating H&S updates, metrics, milestones, key decisions and improvement initiatives.
- Ensure transparency and alignment of H&S expectations throughout the project life cycle, with a focus on solving issues and avoiding escalations. If escalations do occur, own them and drive towards a solution.
Project Planning and Execution:
- Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to integrate H&S considerations into comprehensive project plans, including design development, procurement, pre-construction, construction, commissioning, handover, and customer occupation processes.
- Oversee the preparation and approval of safety plans, method statements, and risk assessments.
Compliance and Auditing:
- Ensure compliance with all relevant H&S regulations, standards, and company policies.
- Conduct regular site inspections, verify risk assessments, and audits to verify adherence to H&S protocols, ensuring all potential risks are anticipated and mitigated effectively.
- Identify and work with contractors, advisors and end-users to implement corrective actions for any identified non-compliances, safety issues and/or improvement initiative.
Team Collaboration and Communication:
- Promote and deliver a collaborative environment among all team members, including contractors, advisors and end-users.
- Establish and maintain effective communication channels and a transparent escalation procedure for H&S matters.
Reporting and Documentation:
- Maintain accurate and detailed H&S records, metric data, and documentation.
- Establish and implement thorough project controls to identify potential H&S issues early and develop effective mitigation strategies.
- Provide timely, accurate, and consistent H&S progress and status reports to the Project Lead and other relevant stakeholders.
- Contribute to Goodman’s reporting needs by providing necessary H&S data and narrative.
Qualifications:
