Health & Safety Manager

The post holder will be the expert in the field of Health & Safety acting as the designated competent person to; Promote a proactive, positive, evidenced-based and Trust wide approach to gathering and acting upon health and safety information and ensuring effective training is in place. Facilitate a culture that improves health and safety through leading and managing all aspects of the Trusts procedures, including manual handling and risk assessment processes in line with current Government Legislation, Regulations, Policy Guidance and good practice. Ensure the timely and effective investigation of health and safety incidents, ensuring that regulatory duties are completed. Inform and advise the Chief Executive, Trust Board, Governors and partners on all aspects relating to health & safety, including timeliness and responsiveness of incident reporting and management and recommended action for practice development
