Responsibilities:
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Operational duties
- Responsible to the Electrical Station Supervisor for ensuring operational safety in accordance with company policy and safety vision of “Everyone Home Safe Every Day”.
- Ensure installation works are in compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
- Ensure the risks and control measures associated with the company’s activities are identified and that control systems are adhered to.
- Responsible for monitoring and achieving keys measures in relation to HSQE.
- Ensure accidents and incidents are reported in a timely manner.
- Adherence to HSQE Briefs, safety documentation, uniforms and PPE relevant to substation installation tasks.
HSE duties
- Monitor safety performance and advise on compliance with our health, safety and environmental policies and the company safety management system.
- Conduct regular formal site audits and carry out inspections.
- Communicate the findings of the audits to site management and assist in the closure of issues.
- Prepare and deliver safety briefings to crews.
- Carry out effective site inductions.
- Develop the Construction Stage Safety & Health plan, Construction Environmental Management Plan and Traffic Management Plan, with input from the construction team.
- Review and be knowledgeable with the technical aspects of RAMS prepared by the construction team and draft risk assessment/HSE section for inclusion in the finished document.
- Carry out professional and impartial investigations as required.
- Advise on personal protection equipment required by TLI Group employees.
- Participate in the development of emergency plans.
- Ensure sub-contractor safety documents are produced and available on site, relevant and in accordance with best practice and current legislation
- Support the site management in ensuring the records of statutory inspections are kept for all activities and plant equipment
- Compile and communicate site emergency plans in conjunction with the site management team
- Furnish safety reports to head office as required
ABOUT THE ROLE
TLI Group are looking to appoint a site-based HSQE Advisor to join our Substation Electrical team, with relevant experience preferably within an HSE role working in high Voltage Projects.
Essential requirements for this role are a relevant Health & Safety qualification and a full driving licence.
