JOB DESCRIPTION
Under the supervision of the HR Director, the main responsibilities of this position are supporting the Health & Safety team in various administrative tasks relating to employee training and integration, and the proper documentation of required protective equipment and uniforms. He/she also participates actively in accident investigations and in the deliverables of various OHS projects.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- College diploma (DEC) in general administration, accounting and management techniques, office automation techniques or other appropriate college discipline;
- Minimum 0 to 2 years’ experience in a similar position;
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite;

- Experience in the manufacturing sector and knowledge of WHMIS (an asset);
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with department managers to prepare mandatory OHS induction training for all new employees.
- Ensure that all employees have the required protective equipment.
- Arrange uniforms for new employees and place orders as required.
- Conduct plant tours three times a week.
- Update WHMIS binders on the floor as required.
- Assist in the management of workplace incidents/accidents.
- Participate in meetings and provide support as required.
- Ensure work is done in compliance with OHS standards.
- Adopt a quality standard in accordance with ISO requirements.
