Help

• Provide consultative services to the military treatment facility on medical standard issues.
• Develop/present protocols for the management of evolving medical standards for newly designated “waiverable” medical conditions or medications.
• Develop element objectives that integrate organizational planning into the MTF overall vision.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of the application of medical standards to the facility’s overall success
• Serve as the liaison between command and health care providers concerning medical clearances.
• Assist the Primary Care Provider in identifying members who require a Medical Evaluation Board or Assignment Limitation Code.
• Forward information to the Primary Care Manager to ensure mission effectiveness/patient safety are maintained.
• Ensure required forms are appropriately accomplished by medical providers.
• Apply appropriate medical standards to determine medical qualifications of personnel.
• Manage the facility’s overseas clearance program for active-duty personnel scheduled to relocate to overseas programs.
• Determine appropriate recommendations for unresolved issues.
