Help

• Develops, coordinates, implements, and manages the Patient Safety Program.
• Serves as liaison between nursing, pharmacy, and the medical staff to ensure safe/standardized medication practices.
• Receives and reviews potential patient safety events from all sections of the Medical Treatment Facility.
• Directs and oversees evaluation and investigation of cases from Joint Patient Safety Reporting (JPSR) system.
• Provides expertise and guidance to staff members in the areas of risk assessment and development and evaluation of action plans.
• Facilitates training for providers on disclosure to patients and families on unexpected outcomes.
• Performs staff support work in short and long-range planning efforts.
• Advises and assists in the planning, development and operation of the hospital safety program.
• Provides support to staff that ensures effective management of the facility’s patient safety program.
