As a Healthcare Assistant in Outpatients at our Bournemouth Hospital, you’ll bring relevant experience, a keen eye for detail and a flexible approach. You demonstrate patience, focus and excellent communication skills. A real team player, you have the diligence, IT literacy and passion for development and training to make a difference.
This role will be based primarily in Outpatients. Duties include phlebotomy, specimen taking, ECG, basic clinical observations, chaperoning and assisting in clinics and minor procedures. This will be combined with collecting medical records and preparing paperwork for patient’s admission and supporting other members of the team.
The successful candidates will have at least NVQ 2 or 3, and will have experience of working in an acute hospital setting. They will be able to work independently, have excellent verbal and written communication skills and be IT literate. Phlebotomy experience would be an advantage although is not essential as training can be given to the right person.
