Registered Health Care Assistant
Prairie Valley Lodge is looking for unique and caring people to provide nurturing, gentle and compassionate care to our 9 senior residents in our Household Model of Care.

• Flexible Hours – shifts vary from 4 – 12 hours based on work agreement.

Job description includes:

• Providing professional and quality care to a maximum of 9 residents.
• Simple food preparation & serving meals.
• Housekeeping - laundry, cleaning, mopping, dusting, disinfecting

Job skills required:

• Confident to use lift equipment - overhead and sit to stand.
• Competent in medication administration.
• Fit to work and able to be on feet all day, twist, bend and kneel in a safe manner.
• Ability to follow a job routine, manage time and work independently.

All new employees are required to hold and produce the following :-

• First Aid Level 1 Certificate
• TB clearance (within 6 months of hire date)
• FOODSAFE certificate.
• Clear criminal record check

This position covers all shifts - shifts are scheduled based on organization needs and may include morning, evenings, overnights, weekends and holidays.
Shifts are scheduled up to one month in advance.
Day shifts vary but are often scheduled 6a to 2p, 2p to 9p, 9a to 1p, 2p to 6p
Night shifts 2100-0600/0700

HOURLY RATE: $28 STARTING WAGE WITH PROOF OF QUALIFICATIONS, AND DEMONSTRATION OF COMPETENCY AND SKILLS.
