Description:
Mō te tūnga - About the Role
- 0.8FTE (32 hour a week), Permanent role
- Rotating roster, Monday to Sunday across Morning, Afternoons and Nights.
Ward 19 is a 22 bed unit providing inpatient care for people with a range of respiratory conditions.
You will be part of a busy diverse multi-disciplinary team and don’t mind that the role can be at times be physically demanding. There is lots of variety in our ward and great opportunities to develop your skills with a comprehensive orientation and support by other members of the team.
You will be responsible for - personal care including assisting patients with showering, feeding etc, making beds, general ward duties, patient watch and ward stocking.
This role is located in Christchurch Hospital. Salary is based on the NZNO Nursing and Midwifery collective agreement.

- Passion to assist our patients to achieve the best health outcomes
- Previous healthcare experience desirable, but not essential
