Description:
Our Healthcare Division offers a variety of services including Mental Health, Addictions, Brain Injury and Rehabilitation and Recovery treatment plans.

Shift Pattern - Mon-Sun 7.30am -8pm/7.30pm - 8am 5 days/ 2 days next week .

You will provide support with day to day activities, whilst encouraging and promoting independent living. Our teams provide care and support for individuals with different conditions at Priory sites all across the UK.
It would be ideal if you have previous experience gained in a similar role. However whilst this is valuable, we are looking for individuals who display the right values and behaviours in order to make a difference to people’s lives. You should be keen to learn and show compassion to care for the people we support. Based in picturesque South Wales, Priory Hospital Ty Cwm Rhondda is a low secure mental health facility offering high quality assessment, treatment and rehabilitation services for male patients with complex mental health needs, serious mental illnesses including treatment-resistant presentations, and behaviour that may challenge.
Responsibilities:
Support our residents with in-house activities and hobbies
Providing support to achieve every day goals including personal care tasks, such as washing, dressing, eating and toileting
Manage some behaviours that challenge
Assistant and support to attend medical appointments
Observe, monitor and record physical and emotional well-being, and promptly report any changes to senior staff
Provide emotional support to individuals and their families
Support and monitor healthcare needs, including administering medication and temperature checks
Understand communication needs and adapt your communication to each individual
Work with other professionals, such as nurses and therapists, to ensure consistency of support
Analyse an individual’s needs and draw up a focused support plan
