KEY QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
- 5-10 years in healthcare data governance or healthcare data analytics.
- Understanding of medical terminology, healthcare quality measures, and value-based care programs.
- Strong knowledge of data governance frameworks, data quality management, and risk management.
- Proven track record of strong product-based planning and ability to drive a project from concept to deliverable.
- Meticulous attention to detail to ensure accuracy and consistency of metric workbooks.
- Experience testing and mapping business processes and protocols.
- Excellent analytical skills including data analysis and interpretation.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills to work with cross-functional teams, including researchers, content managers, consultants, and technical teams.
- Strong leadership skills and ability to effectively communicate and influence key stakeholders to support proposed strategies, process improvements and operations.
- Strong organizational and project management skills to handle multiple content projects simultaneously, meet deadlines and manage time effectively.
- Experience with content management systems.
- Understanding of metadata standards and practices.
- Expert user of Microsoft Office suite.

ABOUT THE ROLE
Sellers Dorsey is seeking a Healthcare Data Governance Specialist to implement data governance for Sellers Dorsey’s value-based care product and client-facing work, including managing processes for documenting metric definitions and coordinating with research and analytics colleagues on organizing and documenting datasets used in product development. The Healthcare Data Governance Specialist is responsible for overseeing the coordination, management, quality, and maintenance of documentation for external facing product, and providing expert guidance on data-related issues for healthcare measures and value-based care models. This role will also sit on the Sellers Dorsey Data Governance committee to streamline product and internal reporting governance efforts.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design and implement policies and procedures for metric/database definitions and documentation of client-facing product, ensuring data integrity, quality, and availability.
- Collaborate closely with leadership, researchers, data analytics team and consultant teams to define and document metrics, targets, benchmarks, dimensions used in client-facing analytic products. Develop and deliver training programs to educate staff on data governance policies, procedures, and best practices. This ensures that all team members understand their roles in maintaining data quality and compliance.
- Design, implement and manage process for metric sign-off, metric updates and versioning. Develop management procedures to ensure metrics are updated according to schedule
- Coordinate with research colleagues to identify and organize publicly available datasets, and with technical analytics team to establish APIs.
- Coordinate with leadership, data stewards and stakeholders to establish and enforce data quality standards. Oversee data quality initiatives, including data cleansing, validation, and auditing processes. Regularly monitor and audit data systems to ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations. This includes conducting data risk assessments and supporting data privacy initiatives.
