Description:

An exciting opportunity has arisen at Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board within our Healthcare Law Department.
The Healthcare Law Co-ordinator will join a dedicated team responsible for legal functions across the Health Board. The team provide support to healthcare professionals throughout the process of an inquest or clinical negligence claim, whilst maintaining focus on patient safety and learning.
The new post holder will require current knowledge of legislation relating to clinical negligence, personal injury and inquests. They will need to demonstrate both initiative and the ability to handle sensitive or confidential information and situations.
The role is for 37.5 hours per week and will be on permanent basis, working both at hospital site (Ysbyty Gwynedd) and remotely.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
The Healthcare Law Co-ordinator will support the Healthcare Law Manager in the appropriate handling of all legal matters including Clinical Negligence and Personal Injury Claims, Inquests and legal advice matters for Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board, ensuring that they are dealt with in an efficient and effective manner and adhere to Health Board Policies and Procedures.
Communication with internal Health Board departments and external bodies such as the Welsh Risk Pool, Legal and Risk Services, HM Coroner and claimant solicitors, is an essential part of the role.
