Description:
It is an exciting time to join the Security department within the Trust, we are increasing our team number with 8 new posts now available for Security Patrol Officers. We are looking for people who not only bring their security expertise to their role, but value excellent customer service, are caring and empathetic in their approach to situations and who take pride in what they do. Successful candidates will be required to work with minimal supervision and able to engage with colleagues across all departments, including senior leaders. You will be able to adapt to any situation you are dealing with, confident in your ability to use your initiative and when making difficult decisions.
To work as part of a team providing a professional security service for the Trust at the four main trust sites, 24/7, 365 days of the year.
You will provide a safe and secure environment for all staff, visitors, patients or service users by conducting visible patrols, utilising CCTV and access control systems, liaison with police colleagues and conducting initial investigations into any suspicious activity.
You will be required to respond to emergency calls within the hospital ensuring an effective and timely response to violent or aggressive incidents. You may need to deal with people who are demonstrating challenging behaviours and training will be provided for the skills you may need in these type of situations.
You will be involved into initial investigations for missing patients and the hospital response to major emergencies.
The post holder will be required to work on rotating shifts though days, nights, weekends and bank holiday across all 4 Trust sites.
