Description:

This is an exciting time to join Ashford & St. Peter’s Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, as we work on the expansion of our theatres at Ashford Hospital and move towards Ashford Hospital becoming our dedicated elective centre. We are looking for candidates with excellent communication skills, a desire to learn and passion to develop and improve. Previous theatre experience is welcome, along with experience from other acute hospital setting.

Working as a Healthcare Support Worker in a Theatre environment within the hospital setting.
Carry out assigned tasks involved with patient care as delegated by the Theatre Team Leader whilst maintaining the privacy and dignity of patients.
This will be whilst demonstrating excellent care, compassion and communication and to be guided by the Theatre Competency Pack.

Support ward areas as and when required during staff shortages and hospital black alerts. This includes being supported by a Registered Nurse to complete tasks including:

  • Continence Management
  • Nutrition & Hydration
  • Moving & Handling of patients to support independence.
  • Infection Prevention and Control

Safeguarding of adults and children.
