Description:

Custom Truck One Source “CTOS” 9230 51st Street SE, Calgary, Alberta, T2C 5J8
“CTOS” operates 40 locations across the USA and Canada. The Calgary shop specializes in truck-mounted hydraulic utility equipment such as aerial bucket trucks, digger derricks, hi-rail trucks, cranes; or related equipment, construction, mining, farm equipment is desired.
Service Technician - Journeyman Alberta Skilled Trades Ticket or Red Seal, Heavy Duty Truck a plus.

Experience with truck-mounted hydraulic utility equipment such as aerial devices, digger derricks, cranes; or related equipment, construction, mining, farm equipment is desired.

  • Perform CVIP (Commercial Vehicle Inspection Program)
  • Monday - Friday, 7am – 3:30pm (overtime as needed)
  • Must hold a valid driver’s (Class 1 or 3 a plus)

BASIC SKILLS:

  • High School Diploma, provincially approved High School Equivalency, or GED
  • Journeyman or Red Seal Heavy Equipment Technician - Off Road and/or On Road is desired.
  • Basic computer skills with Microsoft office
  • Must hold a valid driver’s license.
  • Must have your own tools.
  • Physical effort to move objects and tools; frequent stooping, bending, squatting, and kneeling and a high level of dexterity.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform replacement of electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical components
  • Assess, diagnose, repair and/or replace damaged / worn parts on a variety of vocational / utility trucks & equipment.
  • Provide repair and maintenance to medium / heavy duty trucks, and background in hydraulics and electrical is a plus.
  • Assess, diagnose, repair and/or replace damaged or worn parts for variety of manufacturers of utility equipment to ensure quality standards are achieved.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate records of parts, services and labor to track costs so vehicles can be properly priced and reflect the value of quality offered by the company.
  • Submit all work/repair orders as required to a supervisor for approval to ensure budgets are maintained and costs of vehicle repairs accurately reflected.
  • Perform all duties in accordance with best practices for a safe work environment.
  • Attend monthly safety meetings held by Custom Truck One Source.
  • Other duties as assigned.
