Description:
JOB OVERVIEW
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Equipment Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical aptitude and experience in maintaining and repairing various types of equipment, including cranes ,excavators, generators, air compressors and Caterpillar machinery. This role requires a combination of technical expertise, problem-solving abilities, and excellent service skills to ensure our equipment operates efficiently and meets our fleets needs. Wages will be determine based on Experience and Knowledge. Must be willing to travel to various site locations for servicing our fleet equipment. Knowledge on Tunnelling would be an asset but not necessary. Welding experience would be a great asset. Working hours are 55hrs Monday-Friday, some Saturdays when needed. Overtime after 40hrs.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Proven experience as an Equipment Technician or similar role with a focus on mechanical systems.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, mechanics, and schematics related to heavy machinery.
- Familiarity with operating cranes and other heavy equipment is preferred.
- Proficient in using hand tools for assembly, maintenance, and repair tasks.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose issues quickly.
- Strong communication skills to provide effective service.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- A commitment to safety protocols while working on or around heavy machinery.

Job Types: Full-time, Apprenticeship
Pay: $30.00-$45.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 55 per week
Additional pay:

Schedule:

Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on equipment, ensuring optimal performance and safety.
- Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues using schematics and diagnostic tools.
- Assemble, disassemble, and maintain equipment components as necessary.
- Utilize hand tools effectively to complete repairs and adjustments.
- Operate cranes and any other Fleet equipment safely while performing maintenance tasks or moving equipment.
- Provide exceptional service by addressing our fleet concerns and ensuring satisfaction with repairs.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs performed.
- Collaborate with team members to improve processes and enhance service.
