Description:
KLS Earthworks & Environmental is a Calgary based company with deep family roots. In operation since 1990 we are a leader in excavation, earthworks and environmental construction. We are built on a foundation of safety, providing time and cost-saving solutions to construction and remediation projects across Western Canada. We have a fleet of state-of-the-art equipment and a team of highly skilled drivers, operators and construction professionals.
KLS is currently seeking an experienced Heavy Haul Driver to join our team.
Our ideal candidate has the following qualifications:
- Class 1 license
- Clean driving record and provide drivers abstract with resume
- 5+ years of experience hauling equipment
- Experience with hydraulic equipment
- Experience with hydraulic trailers with booster and jeep
- Experience with up-to 40-wheel combination
- Experience with a 6-ton picker is an asset
- Knowledge of the City of Calgary
- Ability and willingness to work weekdays, weekends and overtime as required
- Reasonable communication skills in order to collaborate with the equipment manager, dispatch, equipment operators & project supervisors
- Experience filling out logbook
- Basic understanding or a willingness to learn digital apps. All KLS haul cards, safety paperwork, etc, are app based
- Must have experience loading and unloading various pieces of equipment such as: excavators, dozers, packers, rock trucks and scrapers
- Experience pulling permits is an asset
- Pilot truck experience is an asse
- Hoisting rigging certification is an asset
- Ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines and under physically demanding conditions
- Live in Calgary or surrounding areas
- Drug & alcohol and fit-for-work testing are pre-employment conditions
