Position: Heavy Vehicle Mechanic / Light Vehicle Mechanic
Locations: We have vacancies at the following depots:
Port Botany (site and street parking available)
Waverley (approx. 600 metre walk from Bondi Junction train station)
Randwick (site and street parking available and close to Light Rail stop)
REQUIREMENTS:
- For Heavy Vehicle Mechanics: Current NSW MVTC Motor Mechanic trade certificate (essential) + TAFE Cert III Heavy Vehicle Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology
- For Light Vehicle Mechanics: Current NSW MVTC Motor Mechanic trade certificate (essential) plus applicable TAFE transcripts showing course completions
- Current HR drivers license (or ability to obtain)
- Computer literacy for accurate maintenance record keeping
- Capability to supervise and assist in training apprentices and trade assistants
- Experience with scan tools (desirable)
- Experience in bus maintenance and public transport operations (desirable)
Responsibilities:
As a Mechanic at Transdev John Holland Buses, you will be responsible for the repair and maintenance of our bus fleet. This includes:
- Repairing, servicing, and maintaining buses to meet regulatory standards
- Road testing vehicles as required
- Attending breakdowns on and off-site
- Identifying and repairing vehicle defects
