Description:

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Entry-Level Help Desk Technician to join our clients IT team in Kansas City, MO. The ideal candidate will have a passion for technology, a willingness to learn, and a strong desire to provide excellent customer service. As a Help Desk Technician, you will be the first point of contact for users experiencing technical issues and will provide support to ensure smooth and efficient operations.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: High school diploma or equivalent; Associate’s degree or technical certification in a related field is a plus.
Experience: No prior experience required, but internships or related coursework in IT support are advantageous.
Technical Skills: Basic understanding of computer systems, mobile devices, and other tech products. Familiarity with Windows, macOS, and common software applications.
Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to troubleshoot basic technical issues.
Customer Service: Demonstrated commitment to providing excellent customer service.
Team Player: Ability to work effectively within a team environment.
Organization: Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Certifications: CompTIA A+, ITIL, or other relevant certifications.
Experience: Previous experience in a customer service role or IT support environment.
Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with help desk software and ticketing systems.

Responsibilities:

Provide First-Line Support: Respond to requests for technical assistance via phone, email, or in-person.
Troubleshoot Issues: Diagnose and resolve technical hardware and software issues.
Document Solutions: Log all help desk interactions and solutions in the ticketing system.
User Assistance: Assist users with setting up accounts, resetting passwords, and navigating systems and applications.
Maintain Equipment: Assist with the setup, maintenance, and troubleshooting of computer systems, hardware, and software.
Escalate Issues: Identify and escalate complex issues to higher-level support or specialized departments when necessary.
Follow Procedures: Adhere to standard operating procedures for troubleshooting and support.
Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service and ensure timely resolution of issues to meet service level agreements (SLAs).
Continuous Learning: Stay updated on the latest technology trends and advancements to provide the best support possible.
