We’re seeking a dedicated Help Desk Technician to join our internal IT team, playing a crucial role in ensuring our staff can focus on delivering exceptional care. POSITION OVERVIEW:
As a Help Desk Technician, you will be the primary point of contact for internal IT support, assisting team members with various technical issues. In addition to technical support, a portion of your weekly hours will involve data entry, working closely with the accounting team to input vendor bills from the communities. Your communication skills, patience, and technical knowledge will ensure that our staff can efficiently provide top-tier care. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage both IT tasks and data entry efficiently.
REQUIREMENTS:
- High school degree or equivalent required
- Must be able to pass a criminal background check
- Experience: 1-2 years in a help desk or IT support role, or equivalent experience gained through education, internships, volunteer work, or personal projects.
- Technical skills: Proficient with Windows OS, Microsoft Office Suite, basic networking, and common troubleshooting tools.
- Customer service: Strong communication skills, patience, and the ability to assist non-technical staff in a professional and approachable manner.
- Problem-solving: Ability to troubleshoot under pressure and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Healthcare IT experience (a plus): Experience working in a healthcare or senior care setting is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities:
- Provide frontline support: Respond to help desk tickets, emails, and calls for internal staff in a timely manner.
- Troubleshoot hardware/software issues: Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to computers, mobile devices, network connectivity, printers, phones and more.
- User support & training: Assist staff with software usage, user account setup and offboarding, password resets, and general IT queries; train staff in IT best practices as needed.
- Document issues: Maintain accurate logs of issues, resolutions, and escalation paths using ticketing system.
- Escalation: Escalate complex issues to the appropriate IT team members or external vendors if needed.
- Maintain IT inventory: Track hardware, software licenses, and other IT assets.
- Data Entry: Assist the accounting team with inputting vendor bills received from the communities, ensuring accuracy and timely processing of financial documents.
