Description:

Help Desk Technician Position
We are seeking a dedicated Help Desk Technician to join our team in Jacksonville, Florida. This contract-to-hire role involves supporting our helpdesk, addressing daily trouble tickets, maintaining system security, and managing various hardware and software components.

Responsibilities:

Provide helpdesk support and handle daily trouble tickets for hardware and software issues.
Support and maintain local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), network segments, internet, and intranet systems.
Troubleshoot and resolve user-reported problems promptly and efficiently.
Ensure continuous network and system security.
Identify user needs and deliver appropriate solutions.
Administer servers, desktop computers, printers, routers, switches, firewalls, phones, smartphones, and other hardware and software components.
Deploy software updates and security patches as needed.
Monitor connectivity and perform network troubleshooting.
Manage customer accounts and take necessary actions based on account activity.
Utilize MS Windows 10 for various tasks and processes.

  • Solid experience in Desktop Support is essential
  • Proficiency in Network Troubleshooting is required
  • Knowledge and understanding of Connectivity is crucial
  • Familiarity with MS Windows 10 is necessary
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think on your feet
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with diverse groups
  • Ability to work in a team and independently when necessary
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and updates
  • High level of patience to deal with different types of technical issues
  • Proficient in documenting processes and writing reports
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively
  • Availability to work in shifts if required
  • Professional certification in IT support or related field will be an advantage
  • Previous experience in a similar role is preferred.
