Citizens Advice Leeds is working for a fairer society where people are free from the effects of poverty and injustice. We are a local charity helping over 30,000 people a year to resolve financial, housing, employment and other legal issues.
As a Welfare Rights Adviser you will join our established Help to Claim team helping people to make claims for Universal Credit through to their first payment. You will play a key role in ensuring our clients receive good quality advice via telephone and digital channels, including carrying out benefits checks, assisting with applications, and contributing to team rotas and targets.
Good attention to detail, strong IT skills and a focus on good customer service are some of the key attributes needed for this role. Some knowledge of welfare rights is essential for this role, though training will be given.
Trainee opportunities
Applications are invited both from qualified/experienced advisers, and from motivated candidates looking for a career development opportunity in the advice sector.
