• Department: Dialysis
• Schedule: 2 shifts per week, 6 a.m. - 4:30 p.m, working every other Saturday. On call once a week, week day 10 p.m. - 6 a.m. or Sunday, every four weeks, 6 a.m. - Monday 6 am.

REQUIREMENTS

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• One or more of the following required:
• Hemodialysis Tech credentialed from the Nephrology Nursing Certification Commission (NNCC) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
• Hemodialysis Tech credentialed from the Board of Nephrology Examiners Nursing and Technology (BONENT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

Education:

• High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate’sdegree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.

Perform and oversee hemodialysis treatment.

• Prepare patients for procedures by taking vital statistics and reviewing dialysis orders and lab work.
• Set up and monitor equipment for procedures both during and after.
• Note and document patient’s condition during procedure via observation, interview and monitoring of vital statistics; reports abnormal assessment findings.
• Obtain, processe, and transport blood samples and culture specimens as ordered.
