Job Description
An exciting opportunity has arisen in the Hepatology department for a Full time band 4 Hepatology Clinical Associate. The role will support the Clinical Nurse Specialists in providing expert nursing care to liver patients in the day case unit and out-patient setting. You will be responsible for the day to day running of the haemochromatosis clinic, providing fibro scan cover for Hepatology Consultant clinics and provision of nursing care for paracentesis clinics within the hospital setting. Our service also runs a number of clinics in the drug and alcohol recovery hubs to help engage difficult to reach patients, the successful applicant will play a pivotal role in expanding these services.
Applicants would need have a good work ethic and work well in a small team. You would need to appreciate the diverse backgrounds of our patient group and be able to work in a non-judgemental manner. Although experience with working with patients with liver disease would be desirable, training would be given.

Qualifications
- NVQ 3 Health and social care or equivalent.
EXPERIENCE
- Experience working with Gastroenterology nursing for a minimum of two years
