Description:

INDUSTRIAL HERBICIDE APPLICATOR (50 POSITIONS AVAILABLE)

  • Term: Four-month positions, May-August 2025
  • Location: Lloydminster, AB.
  • Salary: $21/hr to $28/hr starting regular time, $31.50/hr overtime.
  • Hours of Work: Average of 55 hours per week.
  • Meals: $600 per month subsistence pay.
  • Plus, cell-phone allowance.
  • Hotels: Provided for season with exception of long weekends.
  • Safety Bonus: $500/month bonus pool given to the top employees who exemplifies best safety performance.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Post-Secondary students from all disciplines are encouraged to apply. Successful candidates must be willing to travel periodically around AB and SK and work extended hours when necessary.
  • The ability to demonstrate road experience with a one-ton truck and 4x4 ATV is considered an asset.
  • All employees will be required to have H2S, First Aid Level “A” prior to starting on May 1, 2025.
  • WHMIS, TDG, CSO, and Bear Awareness are provided by the company and required prior to starting work
  • AB and/or SK Pesticide Applicator License an asset
  • Class 5 Driver’s License
  • All employees will be adequately trained in the use/operation of all equipment and herbicides prior to their use. A farming background and/or small engine experience is considered an asset as well as an understanding of the Dominion Land Survey System (Township grid systems).

Responsibilities:

  • Outdoor field position.
  • Required to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Mixing herbicide chemicals and herbicide application
  • Operate spraying equipment, small engines, ATV’s and 4X4 trucks.
  • GIS/GPS recording, weed trimming, handpicking, and other vegetation services as required.
  • Record keeping of safety documentation and application records.
