Description:
FULL TIME, PERMANENT
A great opportunity has arisen for a Heritage Grants and Project Officer to join the Development Team in Bristol City Council’s Culture & Creative Industries service.
Bristol Culture & Creative Industries (C&CI), part of Bristol City Council, is focused on cultural development and growth across the city. C&CI manages Bristol Museums (Bristol Museum & Art Gallery, M Shed, The Red Lodge Museum, The Georgian House Museum, Blaise Museum & Bristol Archives), Bristol Film Office and the Bottle Yard Studios.
You will be responsible for projects across C&CI, to enable successful delivery of service-wide objectives. Playing a key role in Bristol Museums relationship with Arts Council England (ACE), one of our core funders, you will coordinate application and reporting processes, working closely with teams across C&CI and the ACE Oversight Board.
Your role will support the Development Managers (job share) to implement our fundraising strategy. You will have responsibility for initiating and managing your own agreed fundraising projects and campaigns. You will also work closely with colleagues across the service as well as other stakeholders to ensure that our priority projects are adequately resourced.
You will be excellent at engaging with funders, stakeholders and the public and will be confident communicating verbally and in written media. You will require strong project management and administrative skills and demonstrable experience in working effectively as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
The role will mostly be based at Bristol Museum and Art Gallery, though there is flexibility to work across other sites as well as from home. Working as a part of a small and friendly team this is an exciting opportunity to join a creative and dynamic service delivering our city’s cultural agenda.
This role will require occasional evening and weekend work.
