  • Previous experience as a Class 1 Driver
  • Must hold a Class 1 Driving Licence
  • Valid Digi-Tacho card and CPC card

Responsibilities:

THE ROLE:

We are seeking a reliable and experienced Class 1 Driver to join our team. Your main responsibility will be to ensure the accurate and safe delivery of customer products within a specified delivery area. Our flexible start time windows are designed to accommodate your schedule.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Accurate and safe delivery of customer product within the specified delivery area
  • Regular liaison with the Transport Office to report and update any challenges, reportable matters, and completion of run
  • Undertake multi-drop delivery, collection, or trunking as required
  • Record deliveries and follow specific instructions for each customer site
  • Maintain good working order of Kammac vehicles and any equipment on board, ensuring that any service requirements are reported as they occur
  • Complete daily vehicle checks
  • Ensure that reasonable care is taken at all times and that Health & Safety Policies are adhered to
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including the Company Standards of Performance and Health and Safety Policy
  • Report any accidents as soon as possible and in compliance with the company’s accident reporting procedure
  • Drive the vehicle safely and in accordance with the law
  • Drive within the tachograph law and driver hours limits
  • Look after the vehicle and ensure that it is not subjected to unnecessary damage
  • Restrain the load in accordance with DfT code of practice: safety of loads on vehicles
  • Maintain the cleanliness of the driving cab
