Description:

OVERVIEW:

Due to the continued expansion of North Park Logistics (NPL), we are recruiting for an experienced HGV Driver. NPL, a sister company to GreenBlue Urban. NPL is a family-run business based in East Sussex, delivering clean, non-hazardous products across the UK and home counties. Its run as a Haulage business providing services across many sectors. We pride ourselves on providing tailored services to our clients and customers. The role is primarily Monday to Friday, though it will require weekend work and nights out as required. We offer a competitive salary and pension. We’re seeking an individual who is flexible, with a positive, can-do attitude, and a strong work ethic.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE:

  • Licence: Minimum of Category C+E (Class 1) Licence, with experienced.
  • Qualifications: Current Driver Qualification Card (CPC) and Digital Tachograph Card (Digi Card).
  • Experience: At least 2 years of experience in HGV driving.
  • Geographical Knowledge: Good knowledge of UK roads and geographical locations.
  • Driver Regulations: Strong understanding of driver hours and record-keeping requirements.
  • Operational Duties: Willingness to take on additional operational duties as required.

Responsibilities:

  • Load Security: Ensure that loads are secured and safely transported.
  • Transport & Deliveries: Safely transport and deliver third-party merchandise across various locations.
  • Vehicle Checks: Carry out daily checks on the vehicle and ancillary equipment to ensure roadworthiness.
  • Compliance: Adhere to legislation concerning vehicle safety, tachograph operation, and working hours.
  • Customer Interaction: Address any customer queries and relay them to depot staff as needed, ensuring a high standard of customer care and professionalism.
  • Paperwork: Complete all relevant paperwork accurately, ensuring compliance with legal and company standards.
  • Administration Support: Assist with administrative duties as required by the business.
  • Flexibility: Be prepared to work weekends as required and undertake nights out.
