Job Title: HGVFitter / Vehicle Technician
Location: Sandham House, Lancashire Business Park, Redrose Drive, Leyland, PR26 6TJ
Shift Pattern: Days – Monday to Friday. There will be a requirement to work some Saturday mornings.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience in the diagnosis, maintenance, servicing, and repair of vehicles, with a specific focus on commercial vehicles.

• Up-to-date knowledge of vehicle repair techniques and diagnostic tools.
• Previous attendance of manufacturers’ training courses is highly advantageous.
• A full, current UK driving licence is desirable. Possession of an HGV licence, although not mandatory, would be beneficial.

As a Commercial Vehicle Technician, your primary responsibility will be to perform maintenance and repair services

• Diagnosing and Repairing Faults: Accurately identify issues with commercial vehicles and ensure that repairs are carried out effectively.
• Vehicle Inspections: Conduct inspections on vehicles to ensure that they are road-worthy and compliant at 6 weekly inspections.
• Ad hoc Duties: Perform any additional tasks as directed by the Workshop Manager, which may include attending on road call outs.

A bit about us: Hurt (Plant Hire) Limited are part of the Fox Group. We are a local company, offering supply and haulage of aggregates and excavated material in addition to plant hire and contracting services. We provide earthworks, demolition and recycling materials in and around the North West.
About the job: We are currently looking for a HGV technician to join our workshop team to work with our team of fitters in maintaining and inspecting the fleet across the group which are mostly Scania & Volvo tippers, grab wagons and low loaders.
