HGV TECHNICIAN

As an HGV Technician, you’ll be an essential part of our team, performing routine maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on heavy goods vehicles (HGVs). You’ll ensure our trucks meet the highest safety and service standards, including those set by the DVSA. Additionally, you’ll handle maintenance duties on a variety of plant equipment.

• Ensure all work complies with DVSA requirements as outlined in their guide to roadworthiness and the MOT testers manual.
• Diagnose, fault-find, and repair vehicles.
• Road test vehicles (for HGV licence holders).
• Assist with roadside breakdowns.
• Complete and maintain accurate documentation and paperwork.
• Record and repair all vehicle defects promptly.
• Manage stock control, ensuring parts are booked to relevant vehicles/cost centres and replenished as needed.
• Stay updated with new technology and products through training courses.
• Maintain a clean and tidy work area.
• Adhere to the Company’s Health and Safety Policy.
