Description:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma is required. Preference may be given to candidates with, or seeking, an Associate’s Degree.
  • Great interpersonal skills balanced with assertiveness to resolve issues.
  • Assist with budgeting, ordering and fundraising/advertisement for the athletic department.
  • Team oriented, yet takes initiative and works independently to plan, organize, and complete own work processes to meet timelines.
  • Works quickly, accurately, thoroughly, and has strong attention to detail. Flexible to changing priorities, while maintaining focus, accuracy and task completion.
  • Exhibits a high level of dependability, professionalism, and professional maturity with the ability to handle confidential information, use good judgement, plan and handle practical and complex projects and maintain a flexible attitude.
  • Knowledge of current attendance, pupil accounting laws, athletic rules and regulations, MHSAA rules and Durand Athletic rules and policies.
  • Proficient in the technological demands of the office, including but not limited to Microsoft Office, email, Google Suite and electronic data systems. Preference may be given to candidates with PowerSchool experience.
  • Proficient in tabulating and calculating deposits while maintaining accurate purchasing records.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide clerical support for the Athletic Director.
  • Assign and fill ticket taker roles for events and be available for varsity home football games.
  • Maintain accurate daily calendars for sporting events, practices, and district building use.
  • Complete daily and weekly attendance and grade checks for eligibility.
  • Prepare and maintain student records for accurate rosters and team assignments.
  • Attention to detail in preparing all certificates, plaques, letters, awards, and other accomplishments for our athletes.
  • Complete all required reports in accordance with pupil accounting for MHSAA.
  • Maintain up-to-date team rosters.
  • Provide appropriate first aid needs and administer medication according to policy and regulations.
  • Work efficiently alongside the Principal’s Secretary and the Attendance Secretary to maintain the duties of the front office.
  • Greet all visitors courteously, determine their needs, and check appointments.
  • Perform other duties as requested by the athletic director and building principal for maintaining an efficient athletic and office environment operation.
