Description:
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who values MDT working and has a passion for improving the lives of forensic people with LDA.
We are looking for either a secondment or fixed term contract to cover the B8b highly Specialist Clinical Psychologist within the Transforming Care (TC) Community Forensic Team (CFT). This post will run for 11 months from December 2024 until November 2025.
This post is open to both full or part time hours. Should this be a secondment opportunity, we can consider this being a split post across both the current team and CFT, if this would work for the current teams functioning.
The purpose of this role is to provide a Clinical/Forensic Psychology provision to individuals with Intellectual Disability and/or who fit the Transforming Care Programme as part of the Community Forensic Team. You must have specialist forensic and clinical training and experience, including with intellectual disability and/or autism.

Responsibilities:
Complete comprehensive risk assessments and formulations.
Provide psychological intervention to individuals with an intellectual disability and/ or autism.
To ensure there is provision of clinical supervision, clinical leadership and reflective practice within the team.
Provide liaison and consultation to other LPFT teams and/ or other teams who work with our patient group.
To work as part of the MDT to reduce the risk of admission for individuals on the TC cohort.
To develop and provide training to healthcare providers who support our patient group.
To support the team manager by leading on service development and systematic provision planning from a psychological perspective, specifically in relation to the service for forensic clients with intellectual disability and/or autism.
