Description:

The Queens Park and Paddington Mental Health Hub is seeking an enthusiastic and innovative psychologist to work in a multi-disciplinary service designed to deliver a new model of care working closely with Primary Care Networks and other community services.
The team works with clients with severe and enduring mental health problems including psychosis, bipolar affective disorder, complex emotional needs, recurrent depression and complex PTSD. The post holder will be responsible for providing psychology services and improving clinical outcomes for service users.
At the heart of our service is a strong emphasis on collaboration and team work. The post holder will have a strong commitment to multi-disciplinary working. Gaining an understanding of the interventions that other disciplines provide and offering support/consultation. This is imperative as we work together to provide interventions in line with the recovery model. Experience of working with diversity in a multicultural setting is essential.

The post-holder will work in Queens Park and Paddington Mental Health Hub. The Hub offers a range of community-based interventions for clients presenting with a range of complex emotional and social difficulties. The Hub provides care for those clients whose needs cannot be adequately met within a briefer treatment framework.
We are seeking candidates with interests in specialist therapies such as CBTp, Family Interventions (FIp) MBCT, DBT, EMDR and Systemic approaches. We are also interested in candidates with experience of running therapeutic group and programmes. Finding ways to provide support to people who may be cautious about engaging with mental health services will be an important part of the role. Candidates who have experience providing therapeutic interventions to clients experiencing psychosis are encouraged to apply
The post-holder will attend weekly team meetings and case discussion forums. They will have an active role in managing referrals and planning clinical care. They will contribute to the ongoing development of effective recovery-oriented treatment models. They will also play an active role in initiatives to ensure optimal use of psychological therapy resources are widely accessible and offered in a timely manner. The post-holder will support the team in assessing the psychological and social needs of patients referred to the service, ensuring that psychological needs and factors are given due consideration in the care planning process.
The catchment area of the post is the North of the London borough of Westminster. The Community Mental Health Hub is based at Woodfield Road.

To provide a highly specialist psychology service to Queens Park and Paddington Mental Health Hub including specialist assessment, treatment, planning, implementation and monitoring of outcomes.
To support the provision of specialist psychological assessment and therapy for clients with complex and enduring mental health problems (e.g. complex PTSD, psychosis and complex non-psychosis presentations) within Queens Park and Padding Mental Health Hub.
To contribute to enabling other staff, service users and carers from diverse backgrounds to flourish by working to create a psychologically safe environment.
To provide clinical supervision and consultation as appropriate, functioning as a lead specialist in secondary care psychological services for the Queens Park and Paddington Mental Health Hub.
To manage weekly therapy meetings and case discussion forums. Managing referrals coming to the Therapies team within the Hub and alongside other therapy colleagues deciding on appropriate therapeutic treatment pathways for clients.
To work as an autonomous professional within BPS and HCPC guidelines and codes of conduct, and guided by principles and policies or procedures of the service, taking responsibility for interpreting policies within defined parameters.
To agree outcomes/results with clinical/professional lead and to decide how they are best achieved
