Description:

Being one of the UK’s largest NHS Trusts has its challenges. And our 8,000-strong team expertly and wholeheartedly rise to each one. As a Highly Specialist Physiotherapist, you’ll add your therapy skills to this proud heritage as you help to deliver world-class healthcare across North West London. With a range of hospitals, community services and offices, there’s nothing our diverse team can’t do – from offering you a broader, deeper pool of talent to learn from, to the exposure to develop new skills and a seamless career journey across a truly innovative Trust.
This is your chance to thrive as you rotate across Hyper-Acute Stroke, Acute stroke rehab and Acute neuro medical and trauma rehab. It’s the ideal role for a Band 7 or an experienced Band 6 physiotherapist who wants to broaden their horizons, develop their skills and work to build the profile of neuro therapy across North West London.

THE SERVICE COVERS:

  • A 16 bedded hyper-acute Stroke Unit and a 36 bedded stroke rehabilitation ward. These both have an established interdisciplinary team approach and require the applicant to use innovative thinking and strong working relationships and excellent clinical skills to maintain and enhance high standards of stroke care.
  • Potential to include the Neuro Outpatient service, Stroke Early Supported Discharge Team and Ealing Hospital Acute neuro therapy team.
You’ll manage service development projects across the Adult Therapies department, as well as support the wider MDT to continue to develop a bar-raising stroke service. We’re big on collaboration. That means you’ll get to share expertise, advice and new ideas on how to improve the experience for our many, many patients.
We’re looking for an HCPC-registered Band 7 physiotherapist who has experience gained in community outpatient, acute and rehab in-patient services. In this key role in our teaching Trust, you’ll also need experience of supervising others in their day-to-day role. As you’ll get the chance to rotate, we’d expect to see evidence of the clinical application of core therapy and reasoning skills – as well as some knowledge of wide-ranging assessments and interventions for patients with varied neurological conditions. Developmental positions will be considered starting at a band 6 level and progressing to a band 7 position once key competencies are met.
We’ve one big team. And countless possibilities. That’s why we’re looking for a Band 7 physiotherapist who’s as inspired by change, ambitious and determined to succeed as we are.
London North West University Healthcare NHS Trust (LNWH) cares for the people of Brent, Ealing, Harrow and beyond.
Our team of more than 8,200 clinical and support staff serve a diverse population of almost one million people.
