An opportunity has arisen to join our Highways Team as an Highways Assessment Officer. In this role, you will collaborate with a dedicated team to make a meaningful difference in our services and support the communities we serve.
Responsibilities:
- Fulfil Suffolk County Council’s statutory duty by conducting regular highway safety inspections
- Respond to customer reports by carrying out ad-hoc safety inspections and providing updates on the outcomes
- Initiate reactive repair works based on inspection findings to restore the highway to a safe condition
- Perform regular audits of completed works to ensure high-quality standards are upheld
- Employ AI technology to assess the condition of the highway effectively
