Equans is a renowned energies & services contractor and a proud member of the Bouygues global industrial group. Our expertise spans the design, construction, and maintenance of buildings and critical infrastructure worldwide.
Equans currently has a fantastic opportunity for a General Manager to join our Connected Cities business. The role will involve overseeing a wide variety of highways & street lighting related projects including other associated technology and communication schemes across our business covering parts of London, Kent, Suffolk, Oxford and Middleborough.
Key activities:
- Responsible for the management and performance of the contract delivery, building and maintaining positive relationships between the local authorities and supply chain, to ensure that the contract lighting assets are delivered in accordance with the project agreements and best practice
- To be accountable for all Quality Assurance procedures and all procedures associated with monitoring and recording contract performance as detailed within the contract
- Will be responsible for the management (operational, commercial and financial) performance of each of the contracts
- Build and maintain positive relationships with the clients to ensure that the contracts are delivered in accordance with the project agreements and best practice
- Continuous improvement of service delivery, working practices, innovation opportunities and to maximise profit
- Take ownership of the production of monthly reports and follow up on any issues and non- compliance
- Maintain regular dialogue between the senior management team and the client to ensure that any issues are proactively addressed and resolved in a timely manner
SKILLS, QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE:
- Technical competence and operational experience within the highways sector
- Qualified at HNC level (or equivalent)
- Self-motivated with a proactive approach to problem solving and the ability to multi-task
- Flexible approach to working, with the ability to adapt to change where required
- Full driving licence
