Course Description: This course challenges us to reconsider what we think we know about discoveries and inventions, and to reassess how they have shaped our world. It outlines debates around theories of progress, significance, continuity and change, and cause and consequence; guides students through the interpretation of primary and secondary sources; and introduces the discipline of history while helping students develop the research and writing skills that are part of the historian’s craft. Sessional Dates of Appointment: January 1, 2025 - April 30, 2025
Salary: $52.26 per hour

Qualifications: Demonstrated effectiveness as a teaching assistant, academic qualifications in the subject, ability to introduce students to a diverse range of approaches, and suitability for the position.
Description of Duties: Duties may include the teaching of small tutorial sections, marking of assignments, holding scheduled office hours and invigilation of exams; other duties as determined by the supervisor.
