REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• HS Diploma or equivalent

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience with good clerical skills, computer skills and medical terminology preferred.

• Performs clerical duties including accessioning information into computers, filing reports and slides, answering phones, and distribution of reports.
• Performs billing of certain test procedures.
• Operates and maintains staining/cover slipping and some equipment in cytology and frozen section room.
• Monitors quality assurance on area of assistance.
• Receives and sends out specimens for consultations.
• Performs embedding of non-complex tissue in histology lab.
• Distributes slides to residents and pathologists.
• Retrieves specimens for pathology.
• Works with others in a professional and courteous manner.
• Performs other duties as assigned
