OVERVIEW

Ansible Government Solutions, LLC (Ansible) is currently recruiting Histopathology Technicians to support the VA Illiana Health Care System located at 1900 E Main St, Danville, IL 61832. The schedule is typically Monday through Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm. Services will be delivered to all requesting departments throughout the lab. QUALIFICATIONS

  • Certification in Histopathology
  • A minimum of one (1) year of experience within the last three (3) years (2-3 years in an acute care setting is preferred)
  • Experience in U.S. Government facilities in preferred

Responsibilities:

  • Accession and receive samples into VA laboratory information system package for in house testing or send outs to reference laboratories.
  • Prepares specimens for analysis; ensuring that the physiologic states of the specimen properties are maintained.
  • Perform a full range of automated and non-automated laboratory procedures in the areas of Cytology and Surgical Pathology, according to established protocols.
  • Calibrate, standardizes, adjusts and maintains instruments on which trained. Verifies correct instrument operation using established procedures and quality control checks and monitoring. Identifies the cause of common problems and make simple repairs.
  • Perform validation studies on various equipment, reagents, and products and maintains proper records for quality control reports.
